By joining the Relay waitlist or creating a Relay account you agree to these short terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
What the waitlist is
The waitlist is a sign-up list for early access to Relay. It is not a purchase, a subscription, or a promise of service on any particular date. We may invite waitlist members in batches as capacity allows.
Identity verification
Relay offers optional identity verification through our partner Persona. By starting verification you authorize Persona to collect a government-issued ID and (where required) a selfie, and to share the verification outcome (passed, failed, or expired) with Relay. Relay does not access the underlying document or biometric data.
Verification is voluntary. You can use Relay without verifying, though certain features — including ranking boosts, escrow on high-value items, and some seller controls — may favor verified users.
You agree that you will only submit identification belonging to you, and that any attempt to verify with someone else's ID, a forged document, or another fraudulent submission is a material breach of these terms and grounds for immediate account termination.
Marketplace conduct
Relay is a peer-to-peer marketplace. You are responsible for the items you list, the offers you make, and any in-person meetups you arrange. Relay is not a party to transactions between users; we provide the platform, not the goods.
What we may send you
We may email you about early access, onboarding, and beta milestones. We won't use your email for unrelated marketing or share it with third parties.
Beta status
Relay is in private beta. Features may change, appear, or disappear without warning. We'll tell you about anything that affects your data.
Your responsibilities
Only submit an email address you control. Don't sign up other people without their consent.
Changes to these terms
If we materially change these terms we'll update the “Last updated” date above and notify current waitlist members by email.
